The successful completion of the 2024 Hajj season by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a source of pride for Muslims around the world

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Naif, along with all the esteemed dignitaries and security personnel of Saudi Arabia, for the successful completion of the Hajj pilgrimage activities in 2024.

Undertaking the monumental task of gathering approximately 2.5 million individuals from diverse nations in a single location within a limited timeframe, while ensuring their fundamental needs are met and, most importantly, providing a secure environment for their peaceful worship, is no small feat. The meticulous planning and administrative preparations initiated by the Government of Saudi Arabia since the conclusion of the previous year’s Hajj event have garnered tremendous admiration from people worldwide.

The inherent value ingrained in the Saudi Arabian citizens, including children, of considering it an immense honor to serve the Hajj pilgrims is truly praiseworthy. This collective commitment, including that of the King, fills us with great pride. Every pilgrim recognizes and expresses gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia for this dedicated service.

Furthermore, prominent leaders of the Islamic world, esteemed scholars, and philanthropic organizations have conveyed their deep appreciation and thanks to His Majesty the King of Saudi Arabia, the Prince Minister of Interior Affairs, and the Government of Saudi Arabia for the successful completion of the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.

We, as a collective, offer our heartfelt thanks to the government of Saudi Arabia for their exceptional efforts in successfully organizing this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, ensuring the safety and comfort of all the pilgrims, including those from Sri Lanka.

Once again, I wish to express my profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King of Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Interior Affairs, and the Government of Saudi Arabia for facilitating 2.5 million pilgrims during the Hajj pilgrimage in 2024, ensuring their safe return to their respective countries.
